Phones can be covered in bacteria, especially when you use them in the bathroom. Do you want to put that right on your face? To reduce the amount of bacteria on your phone, leave it out of the bathroom.

2. Walking barefoot

Walking barefoot in your bathroom is an easy way to spread bacteria. You could buy a pair of bathroom shoes or you could just make sure to bleach your bathroom floor often!

4. Flushing without shutting the lid

When the lid is left open, the spray from a flush can go up to 6 feet high. This mean bacteria could even be hitting your ceiling! To prevent the bacteria in the toilet bowl from spreading, make sure to leave the seat down when you flush. You don’t need to watch it!

5. Leaving your makeup out

When you leave make up on the counter, bacteria can easily start growing on it. The counter is not the best place for make up. Keep your make up stored in a drawer by itself or in a container. This will keep it fresh and clean.

6. Not washing your towels often

Believe it or not, your towels should be washed every 3 days. However, if you are the only one using it, you might be able to make it last up to a week. Towels can hold on to a lot of bacteria so make sure to keep them washed!

7. Storing your toothbrush wrong

Your toothbrush needs to be stored upright and in the open. However, make sure they will not touch any other brushes.

8. Putting the soap in a soap dish

When you put your soap in the soap dish, it can still hold the bacteria from your hands. Make sure your soap dish has holes in it for the bacteria to drain out. If it does not, make sure to clean the dish often.
