Woman Who Gave Birth To World-Record NONUPLETS Says ‘It Was Like An Endless Stream Of Babies Coming Out Of Me!’

A 26-year-old woman who gave birth to a world record nonuplets has revealed how she and her husband are getting through six liters of milk and 100 nappies per day.

Halima Cisse had nine babies at the Ain Borja clinic in Morocco, breaking the previous world record set by Nadya Suleman who gave birth to eight babies.

“It was a total shock when I found out that I was having nine babies because I thought it was going to be seven,” she said in an interview from the hospital.

“As the babies were coming out, there were so many questions going through my mind. I was very aware of what was going on and it seemed as if there was an endless stream of babies coming out of me,” Cisse continued.

“My sister was holding my hand but all I could think about was how would I look after them and who was going to help me?”

Speaking while watching over her nine babies in incubators, the mother-of-10 said that they are fed every two hours, drinking six liters of milk per way, and undergo health checks every three hours.

The bill for treating the nonuplets has cost $1.39 million and has been paid for by the Malian government.

Cisse said that she ran out of breast milk within a month of giving birth. Her little ones are expected to remain in the hospital for a couple of months more for treatment.

“It’s a lot of work and I still feel very week,” she expressed. “My pregnancy was very difficult, and I need a lot of rest.

“Giving birth to one child is hard enough but having nine is unimaginable. It’s astonishing the amount of work that is involved in looking after them. I’m grateful to the medical team that are doing all the hard work and the Government of Mali for funding this.”

Her husband, Kader Arby, said: “It was an incredible feeling and I just give thanks to God that they have survived and that their health is improving and that of my wife. When I saw them, I was lost for words, it’s been difficult to take it all in.”

The couple also has a 2-year-old daughter named Souda.
