Life is uncertain. Sometimes, no matter how hard we try to make things right, God has different ideas.
Becky is a mom who sadly lost her son Tristan, who sadly passed away at the age of 19. Her anguish was enormous. She couldn’t picture life without her kid, but her loved ones eventually helped her accept reality and move on.
Becky was set to marry the guy she had always loved, Kelly, almost two years after Tristan had away.
On the day of their wedding, the couple chose to leave an empty seat in Tristan’s honor, with a heartfelt note inscribed on it. “Now that I have arrived in paradise for your wedding, what shall I do? I will descend to your level in order to spend it with you. Please save my seat, even if there is only one available. Although you may not perceive me, I will be present.”
As the ceremony progressed, Kelly informed Becky that someone there wanted to see her. A young man has taken Tristan’s seat. Becky didn’t become upset when she saw him. On the contrary, when she saw the young man, she became overwhelmed and couldn’t stop the tears from falling down her cheeks.
That man, Jacob, received Tristan’s heart. Tristan was an organ donor, and he saved more than just Jacob’s life.
Kelly informed Jacob that he and Becky were getting married and invited him to the ceremony; Jacob was more than eager to come from San Diego to participate. It was a lovely surprise that brightened Becky’s day. She felt as if her son was there on her wedding day.
Becky was then handed a stethoscope so she could listen to her late son’s heartbeat. It was an emotional moment that no one will ever forget.
Someone took photographs of the stunning surprise and posted them on Facebook. The tale went viral in a couple of days, and many people commended Kelly for his devotion to Becky.
