The wife takes revenge by putting all of her husband’s belongings up for sale in the garden while he is out with his lover

Relationships are complicated, as are marriages, and no one wants to spend 10 years with a person and suddenly realize that they have wasted their time. Unfortunately, this is a risk to take, as none of us can predict the future. What we can do, however, is to be aware of the warning signs that can arise in a relationship over time.

The protagonist of this story knew that things between her and her husband were not going well, but it was when she found out that she had been betrayed that she made a drastic decision, leaving everything behind. Not only her marriage, but her husband’s house and all his possessions

The woman sold her husband’s possessions at a yard sale while he was allegedly away for the weekend with his ‘floozie’.

The woman organized a large yard sale of all the things belonging to her husband. Needless to say, she also went to the trouble of displaying a sign next to the piles of items, which read, “Ch.e.a.t.i.n.g Husband”. In case any of the neighbors or passers-by had misunderstood, the woman saw fit to post an ad on one of those famous American websites where users sell anything, asking people to come and take whatever they could so that the house would be empty when her husband returned. It would be a shock to him and his wife would enjoy her revenge.

‘I want the house empty on Monday when he returns because that will be a shock for him to see’, she wrote in an advert on the Canadian pages of classifieds site Craigslist.

‘Husband left us for a piece of trash […] Selling everything and moving house after 10 years of marriage.’

Tools that her husband ‘didn’t have a clue how to use’ were offered for sale at the home near the ocean in White Rock, near Vancouver, alongside his favorite red leather theater-style sofas, with recliners.

‘Brand new sliding glass door that he never got installed is available too.’

Buyers could also choose from a ping pong table, a foosball table, furniture, art, garden pots, sports gear and electrical appliances.

But the clothes of the alleged ch.e.a.t were not on sale because ‘we will have already burned those in the driveway’ – though buyers were welcome to view the pile of ashes for no extra charge.

The sale was also a chance for house-hunters to view the property because it went up for sale the following week, described as a ‘two story, ocean view corner home next to schools and parks.

‘Great home designed for fun and family.’

Vancouver family and estates lawyer Lora Anjos told The Province that funds raised from the sale could be included in assets when divorce proceedings go to court.

A court typically requires both sides to account for everything they have and would decide who gets what.

The woman signed off her ad on an optimistic note: ‘Life is too short to waste time. God put my eyes in the front of my head for a reason.

We don’t know how the husband reacted when he got home, but in any case the wife definitely had a good laugh.
