At dinner, a little boy was asked to say the family prayer.
“But I don’t know how to pray,” he said.
His mom smiled. “Just pray for your family, friends, neighbors, and people in need.”
The boy nodded.
“Dear Lord, thank You for our visitors and their kids… even though they ate all my cookies and ice cream. Please bless them… and help them not visit again.
Please forgive our neighbor’s son for wrestling with my sister on her bed.
This Christmas, please send clothes to all the poor ladies on Daddy’s phone.
And please give a home to the homeless man who keeps visiting Mom while Dad is at work.
Amen.”
The room was so quiet… you could hear a spoon hit the floor.
