Wearing a wedding dress to a prom might be hard to imagine, but Johnson had an idea to transform her major thrift store find into something magical for her special night.
This 17-year-old girl went viral on TikTok after she shared a video of her making a DIY prom dress.
The whole process was labor-intensive, but the results captivated people on TikTok, garnering millions of views on the platform. But the dress used to be a beaded strapless wedding gown which she dyed pink.
Megan Johnson got creative by transforming her thrift-shopped dress. She started by pouring boiling water into a tub before putting the dye. After she took out the dress, she let it dry on the floor.
