Sisters In Their 90s Get Together To Make Sure Their 97-Year-Old Sister In Hospice Care Looks Her Best.

There is nothing quite like the bond shared between sisters. You grow up together playing, dancing, whispering, laughing, and, yes, sometimes even fighting. The experiences you have together are ones no one else in the world will ever truly understand or appreciate.

A sweet video of three elderly sisters looking after one another is touching the hearts around the globe.

“My 97-year-old grandma is being loved by her sisters, all in their 90s, shared the granddaughter on the Love What Matters Facebook page. “When my sisters are old, I will brush their hair and make sure they look pretty, until the very end. My grandma got her wish to have hospice in her own home.”

She continued: “The doctor said my grandma had less than a week to live; I called my sisters immediately and convinced them we needed to get on an airplane right away. Four months later, she is still alive and her sisters show her daily how much she is loved and cherished.

When my grandma and her four sisters walked into a room, they caught people’s attention. Five women in their nineties, cute as can be with a love that cannot be denied. These sisters are in the longest relationship of their lives, longer than their time with their parents and longer than their time married to their spouses. They are an inspiration to my four sisters and I. They are the reason we have committed to love each other with a contagious love.

My Grandma and her sisters have influenced my sisters and I to love unconditionally. We call them the Grandma’s and they continue to teach us how to love well. Sisters share more things with each other than anyone else; we share parents, bedrooms, friends, secrets and family genes. Sisters have a special bond and the gift you receive being and having a sister lasts a lifetime.

I’ve heard people say when a spouse dies the other spouse can die not long after. My grandma is the exception and I believe it’s because of her sisters. She became a widow over twenty two years ago, yet the affection of her sisters gave her a reason to be alive and active.

When you feel loved and wanted, you have a reason to live. These sweet sisters are the best companions; they often went to the gym together, to church and to the store. A daily phone call and an outing to the local Mexican Restaurant keeps them connected.”

The video shows these loving sisters in action.
