Remembering Chance Perdomo

Chance Perdomo, a talented and beloved actor with a promising future ahead of him, ᴛʀᴀɢɪᴄᴀʟʟʏ ᴘᴀssᴇᴅ ᴀᴡᴀʏ on March 30, 2024, at the age of 27, in a motorcycle ᴀᴄᴄɪᴅᴇɴᴛ.

His representative Larissa Saenz, confirmed the ᴍᴏᴛᴏʀᴄʏᴄʟᴇ ᴀᴄᴄɪᴅᴇɴᴛ. The statement did not disclose the location of the ᴀᴄᴄɪᴅᴇɴᴛ but mentioned that no other individuals were involved. The ᴀᴄᴄɪᴅᴇɴᴛ is thought to have occurred either late on March 29 or early on March 30, as he was traveling through Upstate New York on his way to Toronto to begin filming for the second season of Gen V.

Perdomo, born on October 20, 1996, in Los Angeles and raised in Southampton, England. He received his first acting gig after he secured a minor role in an episode of Hetty Feather, a British children’s drama set in the Victorian era, after graduating from Peter Symonds College in Winchester, where he majored in theater.

Perdomo gained recognition in Britain for his role in a TV movie named ᴋɪʟʟᴇᴅ ʙʏ ᴍʏ ᴅᴇʙᴛ.

In February 2018, Perdomo was announced as cast in the regular role of Ambrose Spellman on the Netflix series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Before this, Perdomo auditioned for Jughead Jones on Riverdale, which ultimately went to Cole Sprouse. However, Perdomo’s audition for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina impressed series creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa so much that he specifically wrote the role of Ambrose with Perdomo in mind.

Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television expressed their devastation over Perdomo’s passing in a Gen V social media statement. Variety reported that production on the second season is indefinitely delayed following Perdomo’s ᴘᴀssɪɴɢ.

“Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person.”, the producers of Gen V stated.

Perdomo’s memory will forever live on in the characters he portrayed on screen and in our hearts.
