Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are notoriously protecting their children from the press.
Even though we are used to seeing images of the Royal Family and their offspring, you may not be aware that there are two royal children who are rarely photographed.
While we’re all used to following the lives of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, have you ever wondered when you last saw an image of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet?
Of course, it’s a little different because one brood continues to fulfill their royal duties and stays in England, but the other family has elected to retire and create a new life over the pond.
But what is the actual reason Prince Harry and Meghan Markle don’t display their children in photos frequently?
Even though tiny Archie was the star of Harry and Meghan’s Botswana visit, the two children have been difficult to see in the years since.
While we’ve all gained a little more insight into the family since the premiere of their Netflix series, Harry & Meghan, there hasn’t been much focus on the children since then.
The severely criticized docu-series included some nice home film of Archie growing up with his mother and father, all of which had never been given to the public before.
Even on exceptional occasions, it’s doubtful you’ll see their children.
However, there is a valid explanation behind it.
According to US Weekly, an apparent friend of Meghan’s explained why.
She said that it was all related to security.
“I think every parent wants to share their kid with the world, but they just can’t,” the source explained.
“[Prince] William’s kids, for example, have way more safety, even though they’re recognisable.”
They added: “And the same doesn’t apply to Meghan and Harry’s children. They know the world wants to see [them but] I would expect them to live smaller lives until that gets sorted, if it ever does.”
While the Sussexes have expressed their concerns about how the UK treats his family, and Harry is frequently spotted returning on his own, this could also explain why he is protective of his children.
We’re all familiar with paparazzi.
Harry spoke on the ITV documentary Tabloids on Trial last month where he shared his feelings about taking on the press, explaining: “All it takes is one lone actor, one person who reads this stuff, to act on what they have read, and whether that is a knife or acid… they are genuine concerns for me, they are one of the reasons I won’t bring my wife back to this country.”
