Why did Sussexes’ Chief of Staff Quit?
Josh Kettler, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s chief of staff, abruptly left his position after three months on the job. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recruited Kettler, a seasoned public relations consultant from Santa Barbara, shortly before their May trip to Nigeria.
He was taken on to assist Prince Harry with his future steps. He even accompanied Prince Harry to London in May, when he commemorated the Invictus Games’ 10th anniversary. However, a former employee announced on Monday that Kettler had left the company.
According to reports, Kettler, who describes himself on LinkedIn as an ‘experienced executive accelerator, organizer, and confidant’ on LinkedIn was employed on a trial basis, and the Sussexes both felt it wasn’t a good fit. It all happened just before the couple’s major trip to Colombia, where they intended to tour Bogota, Cartagena, and Cali.
Francia Marquez, Colombia’s Vice President, said on August 1, 2024, that the Sussexes would meet with student leaders to discuss their anti-online bullying campaign. According to a source, it was quite illuminating that they did not recall hearing any current or past employees express a wish to return to the position if given the option.
According to the source, these people were not hired at random; many had previously excelled in tough tasks at high-performing firms and surroundings.
