Prince Harry candidly revealed why his relationship with his family was ‘dєstrσчєd’ in a stunning interview

ITV aired an exclusive interview with Prince Harry about his battle against the tabloid press.

After years of private struggle within the Royal Family, Prince Harry revealed everything during an ITV exclusive appearance.

In his July interview, the Royal talked out about the ‘rift’.

The 40-year-old, who celebrates his birthday 15 September, sat down to discuss his battle with the tabloid press – and ended up sharing far more than anybody expected of him.

Prince Harry is reportedly planning a ‘lads’ getaway’ with his ‘closest buddies’ today to celebrate.

According to a source, Harry has planned a ‘low-key’ gathering with his wife Meghan Markle and his two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Harry told People magazine recently: “The best gift I’ve ever been given is, without a doubt, my kids. I enjoy watching them grow every single day, and I love being their dad.”

According to the Express, the birthday excursion will take place in California, specifically at Montecito Peak.

The source told the outlet: “The Cold Spring Trail has lots of streams and pools which people regularly take a dip in.

“But there are also lots of snakes and other wildlife to contend with, like large cats.

“Harry and his friends will truly experience the outdoors as they take on one of the long hikes. Let’s hope he’s taking an experienced guide with him.”

Harry, who has been extremely open about his sentiments, spoke about his years-long struggle with major UK tabloid publications, which he sued over a phone hacking scandal.

A judge concluded that The Mirror Group Newspapers hacked the Prince’s mobile phone ‘to a minor level’ between 2003 and 2009, and the Duke of Sussex was awarded £140,600 in damages.

However, this was the event that ‘ᴅᴇsᴛʀᴏʏᴇᴅ’ his relationship with his brother William.

In a clip from ITV documentary Tabloids on Trial, host Rebecca Barry asked him: “To what extent do you think your determination to fight the tabloids destroyed your relationship with your family?”

Harry replied: “It is certainly a central piece to it.

“It is a hard question to answer because anything I say about my family results in a torrent of abuse from the press.

“I have made it very clear that this is something that needs to be done.

“It would be nice if we did it as a family, I believe from a service standpoint and when you are in a public role these are the things we should be doing for the greater good.

“I am doing this for my reasons.”

Barry asked: “What do you think of their decision not to fight in the way you have?”

Harry said: “I think that everything that has played out has shown people what the truth of the matter is, for me the mission continues.

“I think as you say, it has caused part of a rift.”

The Duke of Sussex went on to discuss the High Court lawsuit against Mirror Group Newspapers.

He explained the moment he realised he had won: “To go in there and come out and have the judge rule in our favour was obviously huge.

“To be able to achieve that in a trial is a monumental victory.”

The Mirror Group Newspapers told Tyla in response ITV’s documentary: “We welcomed the judgment in December 2023 that gave the business the necessary clarity to move forward from events that took place many years ago.

“Where historical wrongdoing took place, we apologise unreservedly, have taken full responsibility and paid compensation.”
