Mum has her face painted to match her son’s birthmark so she can see what life is like for him
A mom paid tribute to her son by having a perfect replica of his birthmark painted on her face – so she could walk in his shoes for a day.
Little Enzo Cestari, one, was born with a dark birthmark covering most of his forehead and stretching down one side of his nose.
His mom Carolina Giraldelli, 26, vowed to never hide his unique mark and to make sure he knew he was perfect just the way he was.
The businesswoman asked a professional makeup artist to perfectly replicate her son’s birthmark on her own face to celebrate his uniqueness.
Carolina says that having a version of Enzo’s birthmark on her face was a moving experience – and Enzo was overjoyed too.
Enzo was born in May 2017 through a C-section, after a scan revealed his umbilical cord was wrapped twice around his neck.
Medics were shocked to see the large birthmark on the baby’s face, but Carolina was simply grateful he was born healthy.
‘I decided that from then on I should become another person who was much stronger, fearless, brave, and ready to face all the obstacles that would now be presented to my son,’ said Carolina, from Cáceres, Brazil.
