Fortunately, former President Donald Trump was able to temporarily put his legal issues aside on Friday, May 17, to attend his youngest son, Barron Trump,’s high school graduation, alongside his wife, Melania Trump. Melania turned heads and shocked fellow graduation attendees with her stunning ensemble, particularly the stylish and practical straw hat she was wearing to keep out the sun.
As background, former President Trump first believed he would be unable to attend Barron’s graduation owing to Judge Merchan’s scheduling in the “hush money” case. “I was looking forward for years to graduation with his mother and father there, and it looks like the judge isn’t going to allow me to escape the scam,” Trump told reporters. However, this later changed, allowing Trump to witness Barron on his special day.
So, on Friday, Trump and Melania visited the highly prestigious Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach, where 18-year-old Barron completed his education after his family relocated to Florida from New York City. They witnessed Barron’s graduation while two police snipers observed from above the announcers’ box, and US Marshalls and Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office deputies monitored the vicinity.
While the police guarded the area, the smartly dressed participants strolled around, spoke, and then congregated on the bleachers to witness the graduation and congratulate their friends and relatives. Among those doing so were members of the Trump family, who arrived in a motorcade just minutes before the graduation and drove to the football field.
Former President Trump was greeted with applause when he arrived at the football field, dressed in his normal dark suit with a blue rather than red tie. While Trump’s appearance drew cheers, Melania’s absolutely exquisite outfit caught everyone’s attention.
She walked into the stadium with her ex president husband, by whose side she sat during the ceremony, and her father, Viktor Knavs, sporting a smart blue coat and a gorgeous straw hat that protected her from the blistering Florida sun.

Trump posted on Truth Social before the commencement, “Going to Barron’s High School Graduation. Great student, wonderful boy! Very exciting!!! DJT” Furthermore, Trump mentioned Barron just before the graduation, calling him a “great guy.” He said, “He’s seen it. He doesn’t have to hear. He is a smart one. He doesn’t have to hear much. But he’s, he’s a great guy.”
Continuing, Trump stated that Barron is attractive and tall, saying, “He’s a little on the tall side; I will tell you. He’s a tall one, but he is a good-looking guy.” Trump went on to explain that Barron is interested in politics “And he’s really been a great student. And he does like politics. It’s sort of funny. He’ll tell me sometimes, ‘Dad, this is what you have to do.’”
