Man had some terrifying encounters while travelling across ocean in see-through kayak

YouTuber Brodie came quite close to a great white shark at one point in the video.

A video creator has shared some of the strange and fascinating critters he discovered when paddling into the ocean in his transparent kayak.

YouTuber Brodie Moss, the leader of the YouTube channel YBS, is an Australian content creator who produces films on wildlife, nature, and the ocean for his approximately eight million subscribers.

After learning to hunt for sea critters on a tropical island, fish with an ancient bow and arrow, and explore the waters for uncommon species, it’s safe to say the bloke is very fearless in the wild.

So it makes sense that in his most recent upload, he took his see-through kayak into the water to see what he would encounter.

Brodie opens the video by kayaking over a calm sea to witness the breathtaking sunrise.

The first sea species he encounters is a sea snake with a larger body than usual, which he suspects is due to having eaten something.

Shortly after, he notices another sea snake, but half is missing; a predator has been around, but he has no idea which one.

As he proceeds on his adventure, in true Finding Nemo style, Brodie comes across a big turtle swimming extremely close to the surface, which he views through his transparent kayak.

Rowing alongside it, the social media star said, “I thought it was a bit of rubbish! Hello!”

Drone film horrifyingly captured a giant marine creature swimming beneath him at the same moment, which would have undoubtedly elicited a reaction if he had noticed at the time.

He did, however, see several whales swimming around him, which he cheerfully greeted when they swam close to him, and he continued to record their movements using his drone.

However, this was not the most spectacular sight he witnessed at sea; he also encountered one of the most dangerous beasts on the planet: the Great White Shark.

Brodie joked that the shark noticed his ‘juicy booty’ through the translucent kayak and approached him because it ‘had its sights’ fixed on the YouTuber.

With a hint of anxiety in his voice, he confirmed it was a Great White, filming it with his GoPro by submerging his arm.

Where most people would head for the nearest island, he lingered and watched the shark.

Brodie, who said that he was ‘being stalked by a Great White’, implied that he was more curious than in the mood to hunt, given that he did not try to chomp on his kayak.

After describing the scenario as ‘ scary’ several times, Brodie revealed, “I don’t want to push my luck any more than this, he’s getting a bit more rowdy so I want to bail now,” as the shark began following him.

Brodie did add that encountering a Great White in this location was unusual, and he likely returned to safety.

Users praised Brodie’s bravery at sea, as one user said: “How that kayak keeps Brodie & his balls of steel afloat is beyond me.”

Another commented: “I don’t how you get so lucky with animal encounters but they are always incredible.”

A third joked: “That’s crazy. That Great White Shark has no idea how lucky he was to be so close to that Australian!”
