If you often have motion sickness, next time, remember to consume these foods before getting on the car

When you travel, some people tend to suffer from motion sickness, which happens with repeated movements, moving up or down, confusing the nervous system. The eye sends different signals to the brain as compared to what the ear interprets. This confusion can make you unwell and throw up. Scientifically, this is known as Kinetosis.

Since motion sickness requires urgent attention and quick remedy, here are some easy home hacks to help

1. Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple Cider Vinegar balances the pH levels in the body, which helps in managing Motion Sickness better in a natural way. All you need to do is take two tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar and mix some honey to it and add these two to a cup of lukewarm water. Stir the mixture well and sip the solution about 30 minutes prior to traveling.

This solution will help prevent nausea and also will settle the stomach and allow you to get rid of Motion Sickness naturally. In case if you are in the middle of a travel and have symptoms of Motion Sickness you can take a teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar and mix it in a cup of water and drink it. It will provide immediate relief from the symptoms of it.

2. Ginger

Ginger is among the most effective and easily available natural ingredients, which fights back motion sickness. Ginger contains an active ingredient called ‘gingerol’ which is very effective in treating nausea, vomiting, and fatigue. It also comes packed with plenty of other essential vitamins, which replenishes your body.

You can have ginger in the form of candy, powder, dried capsules, sip on ginger infused tea or have it raw if you want.

3. Lemon

Lemon Juice is one of the best natural remedies to prevent and stop vomiting which is one of the main symptoms of Motion Sickness. Lemon contains citric acid which helps in settling down the stomach and prevents nausea and vomiting.

All you need to do is mix some lemon juice in a glass of water. You can add some sugar or honey for taste and drink the juice for best relief from the symptoms of Motion Sickness. Alternatively, you can travel with slices of lemons which you can continuously suck to prevent any symptoms from occurring of Motion Sickness.

4. Green Apple

Green Apples contain pectin which is extremely good in calming down the stomach and thus prevent symptoms of Motion Sickness from occurring. All you need to do is extract the juice of green apples, mix it with some lemon juice, and add some black salt to it. Mix all these things thoroughly and drink the solution before starting the travel and prevent any symptoms of Motion Sickness.

5. Peppermint

The menthol present in peppermint prevents nausea and vomiting and it calms the stomach naturally. All you need to do is drink a cup of peppermint tea before you start traveling. Alternatively you can prepare peppermint tea yourself by adding some peppermint leaves to a cup of boiling water and add a teaspoon of honey and drink the tea half-an-hour before travel to get rid of Motion Sickness. While traveling always carry a peppermint candy with you which you can use in case if you get symptoms of Motion Sickness.
