Here’s The Scary Reason why you should NEVER put lemon wedges in your drink

Lemon water is extremely healthy. Lemon water can help cleanse your body and digestive system, keep your skin fresh and beautiful, and help maintain overall body weight.

So why don’t people want to drink it? We certainly don’t tell you not to drink lemon water.

In fact, we encourage it, especially in the morning – drinking warm lemon water when you first wake up gets your body working healthily.

But there is one place you don’t want to go to drink lemon water – in restaurants.

Every time we go to restaurants, we get our water, colas, and cocktails served with a slice of lemon as a garnish. While it may seem harmless, or even beneficial, it’s not!

Here’s why you need to tell your server to leave fruit out of your drink.

1. It can contain viruses, bacteria, and other microbes

In restaurants, 70% of the lemon slices  contained viruses, bacteria and microbes, including E. Coli, the bacteria found in human feces.

2. May contain human waste

3. The garnishes are dirtier than your dishes

It was observed that when it came to garnishes, restaurants were more likely to be sloppy and have indulgent standards. As a result, they are more likely to be contaminated with bacteria than the dish itself. This is also because restaurant workers grabbed the garnishes without gloves or did not use tongs.

4. The chances of infection are low

The sigh of relief is that the chances of getting an infection from these are very low. This is because our immune systems can protect us from getting infected with such lemon wedges. However, there is a possibility

5. If lemon is your thing, go for lemon juice instead

If you want lemon-flavored drinks, just squeeze the lemon juice and simply set the lemon wedges aside.
