A heartbroken man walked into a lawyer’s office with tears streaming down his face.
The lawyer stood up and offered him a seat.
“I’m very sorry… How can I help you?”
The man took a deep breath.
“My wife passed away last week.”
The lawyer’s expression softened.
“My deepest condolences.”
“Was she ill?”
The man nodded.
“For a long time.”
“I stayed by her side until her very last breath.”
The lawyer sighed.
“Did she say anything before she passed?”
The man looked down and quietly replied,
“She did.”
The lawyer leaned forward.
“What were her final words?”
The man swallowed hard.
“She whispered…”
‘Honey… promise you’ll never forget me…’
‘Promise you’ll never replace me…’
‘Promise you’ll always stay faithful to me…’
The lawyer smiled sadly.
“Those are beautiful final words.”
The man shook his head.
“She wasn’t finished.”
The lawyer looked puzzled.
“What did she say next?”
The man wiped away one last tear and sighed.
“…Because every password to our online banking is still locked inside my head.” 😂
