When you have a loved one with dementia, they can’t always be around to celebrate huge milestones in life. This heartbreaking thing can be seen in a viral Facebook video. Reportedly, the video was produced by Network Media LLC and Olivia. A woman named Julia wants her Dad to walk her down the aisle. Unfortunately, her Dad suffers from dementia, so he didn’t recognize her.
However, that couldn’t stop Julia from trying to make her big day as special as possible for the both of them. Shortly before the ceremony, Julia ushered her Dad outside for a very special surprise. There, the bride-to-be had a canvas with paint waiting for him. That’s because Julia’s Dad had always been an artist, and painting is the one thing that can bring him back.
When her Dad began to lightly paint the canvas, his memory started to come back. He immediately realized that the bride sitting next to him was his Julia and he began to tell her how beautiful she looked, sending them both into tears.
