Gwen Stefani, 54, 𝕔𝕣𝕚𝕥𝕚𝕔𝕚𝕫𝕖𝕕 by fans for her outfit on ‘The Voice’ Season 26 opening night

Season 26 of The Voice premiered this week, unveiling a new cast of judges that includes musical giants including Snoop Dogg, Michael Buble, Reba McEntire, and Gwen Stefani.

Fans may recognize Reba and Stefani as coaches from past seasons (Reba won Season 25), but Buble and Snoop Dogg are newcomers to the program. To effectively introduce themselves, the quintet chose to sing the Eagles’ rock classic Heartache Tonight to get the audience excited.

And it surely worked. Gwen Stefani received criticism for her attire during the season’s first night of The Voice.

Being picked as a coach on The Voice must be a great honor. After all, John Legend, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, and Kelly Clarkson all already held the position, making this a who’s who of music business greats.

Season 26 has the aforementioned roster of Snoop Dogg, Michael Buble, Reba McEntire, and Gwen Stefani competing to be named the winning coach. We’re confident you’ll all agree that four renowned performers from four very diverse musical backgrounds will make this season just as exciting as previous years’ must-see offers.

Indeed, if the show’s opening night was any indication, audiences are in for a fun journey. To establish the tone, the four judges sang a collaborative performance of The Eagles’ Heartache Tonight, each imprinting their own distinct style while harmonizing with the others.

Judging newcomer Snoop Dogg drew particular praise for his vocals and outfit, which apparently left plenty of viewers suprised.

“I didn’t know Snoop could sing?!!! I know him as a rapper,” one wrote.

Another chimed: “Snoop has a great voice. Very smooth—just like him.”

A third added: “I am SHOOKETH! They really got some excellent vocals out of Snoop.”

Despite Snoop’s favorable feelings, fellow judge Gwen Stefani was criticized for her clothing choice. Some viewers were not pleased.

In fact, a number of people turned to social media to express their displeasure, with the bulk of them apparently offended by Stefani’s choice of outfit.

“Why can’t Gwen wear proper clothing? Is it a show for youngsters, or only adults? It’s disgusting.[sic]” One individual suffered injuries.

A second person said, “Gwen is too old to dress like a teenager. “Time to have class like Reba—always dressed like a star with class[sic].”

“Snoop and Reba are best singing together. Gwen needs to go n dress like a class lady. Michael is good[sic],” added another.
