Forget about expensive pedicures: Use These 2 Ingredients to Remove Cracked Heels and Have Smooth and Beautiful Feet

If you’re tired of spending hundreds of dollars at the beauty salon, you’re going to love this new beauty trick you can do at home. You can make sure your feet are soft, smooth and ready to be seen with this simple recipe that uses just two ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen. Milk and baking soda is all you need to make your feet happy!

You’ll need

  • 4 cups of milk
  • 3 tablespoons of baking soda

How to create your foot bath

1. Warm up your milk. You can use anywhere from two to four cups, depending on the size of your bowl, the size of your feet, and how much milk you have.

2. Pour the milk into a good-sized bowl. You should be able to fit both feet into the bowl at the same time, side by side.

3. Soak your toes in the milk for about five minutes, then grab your baking soda. Lightly sprinkle a liberal amount of the powder into your foot bath.

4. Mix the baking soda into the mixture by gently moving it around the bowl with your feet.

5. Be sure to pay special attention to areas where the skin is typically harder or thicker. These include the bottom of your heels, the area under your toes and the soles of your feet. Massage these areas thoroughly with the mixture. Use your hands if necessary.

6. Don’t forget to rub the mixture into the tops of your feet and ankles, even if they are not completely submerged. These are the parts of your feet that are most visible when you are wearing sandals or flip-flops!

7. When you’ve scrubbed enough, sit down with a book or your favorite TV program and let your feet soak for another five minutes.

8. Clean your feet with warm water and dry them thoroughly. You should find that your feet look and feel healthy and rejuvenated!

How does it work?

Not only is milk healthy to drink, but the lactic acid it contains is also beneficial when applied to the skin, helping to heal and moisturize dry areas. It softens the skin. Baking soda, on the other hand, has abrasive properties that can remove dry, rough patches once they have been softened.
