OTC medication (Over-the-counter medication) can work wonders for you if you take it in the right amounts and the right doses, otherwise, it will not only not work adequately but also even cause you a new ailment.

This could result in some pretty bad side effects like pain, vomiting, or worse, and suffice it to say that if you find yourself in a bit of a lurch for more than 3 days then you might have to urgently get it looked at by a doctor.

There should be no incident while you’re taking your medication. But on the off chance that it does occur, then you should get it looked over by a professional because on the whole OTC medication is supposed to be safe for consumption, especially without the supervision of a doctor, which is the reason they are given out so frivolously.

Yet, if you actually get worse, then it might be time to actually stop and question the medication you are taking.

Although they are redeemed safe by most doctors, it is a broad generalization that spans a whole host of people, and let’s not forget the fact that people are fundamentally different from one another and the medication one individual takes might not have the same valuable effects on another. This is where the discrepancy lies.

One such drug is loperamide. This is an anti-diarrheal drug and it is known to have very severe side effects when ingested for a long period of time.

The thing is that people have to be cautious and read the medication pamphlet more carefully, especially the things written in the fine print.

They usually have valuable information that people will sometimes overlook. This means that they will succumb to the things that they fear most and instead of making themselves better they will throw themselves down into a pit of increased illness.

Loperamide digestion is known to cause a lot of unpleasant side effects, however ,these side effects only manifest themselves when they are taken for more than two days.

There is a cap limit on how much loperamide you should be taking, and for most people, the threshold will be somewhere around the 2-3 day mark.

If you take it any longer than that, then be on the lookout for things like drowsiness, vomiting nausea, and even an increased heart rate.

There are many other possible side effects that this medication could have, one of them being a heart attack! It is clear that the need for people to look out and read the medical prescriptions carefully is in great demand, and those who don’t, will recklessly put themselves and others in danger.
