Kathy Bates shone like a star at the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on September 15, wearing a dark-colored sequin outfit. After recently admitting that she shed 100 pounds, people are anxious about her Emmy Award look.
In addition to the eye-catching gown, which included dazzling beads woven into the fabric, the “Fried Green Tomatoes” singer wore black-patterned closed-toe shoes and carried a gorgeous black handbag with floral motifs.
She wore minimal jewelry, including dangling earrings and a gorgeous gemstone ring on her right hand. Bates combed her salt-and-pepper-colored hair away from her face and into a low-hanging bun.
While smiling for the photographers on the carpet, Bates was joined by co-star Skye P. Marshall, who will appear opposite Bates in an upcoming version of “Matlock.”
When social media fans saw online images of Bates at this year’s TV awards ceremony, which was hosted by famous father and son Eugene and Dan Levy, they were surprised by how different she looked after losing weight.
“She’s too skinny,” remarked someone about Bates’ Emmy appearance. Another expressed, “Great actress but I think Ozempic has aged her.”
While one user complimented the actress on how fantastic she looked, they noted, “But, I wouldn’t have [recognized] her at all.” “Why did she lose so much weight? Someone another said, “She does not appear to be in good health.”
