Body Parts You Will Experience Pain When Your Blood Cholesterol Is High

As a serious health problem, high cholesterol affects millions of people all over the world today. Coronary failure, coronary artery disease, atherosclerosis, cardiac arrest, stroke, and death are all possible outcomes of the condition. However, when your blood cholesterol is high, some parts of your body will experience pain, which I will briefly discuss in this post according to Healthline.

1. The chest

A feeling of discomfort and pain or soreness in the chest can be a sign. According to WebMD, high cholesterol can lead to heart disease and other circulatory issues. It is called atherosclerosis in the medical field. The chest is a common symptomatic site because of its proximity to the heart and the circulatory system. The medical word for this form of chest pain is angina pectoris. Another possible cause of this angina pectoris is coronary artery disease.

2. Jaw and neck pain

If you are overweight and have been suffering from jaw and neck pain for an extended period of time without obvious explanation, you should be careful.

Jaw and neck pain could be an indication of poor blood circulation to the brain. These are the beginnings of the common carotid artery, which supplies the brain with oxygenated blood.

3. Leg and foot pain

If you suffer leg and foot pain, particularly when walking or engaging in other forms of physical activity, this is really a red flag. Peripheral artery disease stems from a buildup of cholesterol in the blood vessels that supply the legs (PAD). Leg symptoms such as tingling and pain indicate that this condition is present.

High cholesterol levels necessitate intervention. Every three months is the bare minimum recommended time between inspections. Maintenance of a healthy weight also requires regular physical activity. Eat fewer trans fats and more veggies, fruits, and polyunsaturated fats.
