Roseanne Barr has become the latest celebrity to try out a new appearance, taking to social media to show off a hairdo that elicited a variety of opinions from her fans.
The idea of celebrities experimenting with their appearances and trying new things isn’t new, yet it still piques people’s attention. On the contrary, the ever-changing style choices of the world’s A-listers are a source of interest and gossip for many, so it’s not surprise that Roseanne Barr’s new pixie haircut sparked a lot of conversation.
The 71-year-old Barr took to Instagram to show off her new look, which included a textured pixie cut instead of her long, gray locks, with the comment “Cut.”
Perhaps predictably, the comedian and actress’s message received a lot of attention, with the great majority of respondents having only positive things to say.
“Wow makes you look younger and hot!!!!” One person authored this.
Another person responded, “I adore it. You and I are the same age. I’ve always had long hair, but recently I’ve been thinking about chopping it. “Now that I see how good you look, I might do it.”
“Gorgeous Roseanne! Keep waking folks awake!! “We adore you,” wrote a third.
Others left comments like “Looks incredible, Roseanne!” In addition, “LOVE the hair!!!”
According to rumors, the hairdresser behind Barr’s change is Andre Walker, who also works with actress Halle Berry and television icon Oprah Winfrey.
Barr became a megastar in the late 1980s after playing Roseanne Conner on ABC’s comedy Roseanne. The concept for the successful series came from the creators of The Cosby Show, who wanted to perform “no-perks family comedy.”
Roseanne began in 1998, with the first episode reaching 21 million homes, making it the biggest debut of the year. Overall, Roseanne was a huge hit, lasting ten seasons. Barr has received numerous prizes, including an Emmy and a Golden Globe.
In recent years, Barr suffered a huge setback when her program was canceled due to a tweet equating former President Barack Obama’s aide Valerie Jarrett to an ape.
Despite being an outspoken admirer of former President Donald Trump, Barr blamed her improper remark on poor health and emotional instability, expressing shame for the gaffe, according to People. She spent many weeks in hiding afterward. Barr responded to the criticism by openly apologizing.
Nonetheless, a planned resurrection of Roseanne was canceled as a consequence of the outcry, and behind the scenes, she endured a massive personal adjustment – both professionally and emotionally.
