A twelve-year-old girl was walking home from school when a car slowly pulled up beside her. The driver rolled down the window and leaned out.
“I’ll give you a big bag of M&Ms if you get in the car,” the man offered.
“No way! Get lost!” the girl snapped, quickening her pace.
The car crawled along beside her. “How about a bag of M&Ms and twenty dollars?”
“I said no!” she replied without looking back.
The driver persisted, “What about a bag of M&Ms and fifty dollars? Come on, that’s a great deal.”
“Forget it, I am not getting in that car,” she insisted, crossing her arms.
The driver sighed and threw his hands up. “Okay, final offer: a giant bag of M&Ms and a crisp one-hundred-dollar bill. What on earth is it going to take to get you into this car?”
The girl finally stopped, glared at him through the window, and groaned:
“Look, Dad—you’re the one who bought the Volvo. You live with it!”
