No matter how often you do the laundry: if you have whites, you know how difficult it is to keep them in their original color and “shine”. Already after a few uses and a few washes, white laundry fades, not to mention the annoying yellowish stains under the armpits.
To whiten clothes, conventional methods such as bleach are often used, which is however also toxic and ends up being inhaled during washing and coming into contact with the skin through the clothes when we wear them.
Below we suggest how to whiten clothes naturally and treat any type of stain on whites. These are simple natural methods that will allow us to save money and protect our health.
Lemon and salt:
To get rid of sweat stains that mainly form under the armpits and on the collar, try applying the following method with lemon and salt.
Bring two litres of water to the boil, then remove from the heat and add 60 ml of washing powder, the juice of three lemons and a tablespoon of salt.
Soak the clothes in this solution and let them soak for 40 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with water and dry in the sun.
Baking soda and lemon:
To remove stubborn stains, prepare a thick mixture of baking soda and lemon. This solution also helps to whiten laundry.
Sprinkle a tablespoon of baking soda on the stain, then rub with half a lemon. Leave on for 15 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with warm water.
Hydrogen peroxide:
This ingredient is also very useful for treating certain types of stains and whitening laundry.
Pour 60 ml of laundry soap into two liters of water and add 60 ml of hydrogen peroxide. Soak the garment in this solution for 30 minutes, then rinse.
