A woman stunned her entire neighborhood when she gave birth to a kid with two faces, two arms, and two legs. Rama Devi, 38, of Koreanpurwa, Kiratapur village, India, went into labor on Sunday night, July 21, 2024. She gave birth the next morning, and physicians discovered that her infant had two limbs and a double face.
According to medical professionals, the newborn’s body was conjoined and one side was said to still be developing.
While the baby’s father, Ramphal, was overjoyed with the prospect of his child being special, not everyone else was. Medical personnel reportedly placed the infant outside the hospital, and many people from the hamlet came to see the unique child.
Rama claimed that her infant went missing for two hours after the staff left it outside, however a staff nurse at PHC Rewan denied that the baby was dumped outside and instead said it was moved about the hospital. She also stated that the infant is unable to eat milk on its own.
It is unclear what the infant’s chances of survival are, but physicians believe that complications from such a disease are exceedingly high. Diprosopus, a rare disorder that occurs in conjoined twins and creates duplicated features of the face, affects two out of every one million children born worldwide.
