Harrison Ford has been making movies for decades. The actor, who is 80 years old, is an industry veteran. But even at this age, it appears that he is irresistible to his devotees.
The actor appears to be self-aware.
The saying “aging like fine wine” can be used to Hollywood legend Harrison Ford. The actor who most memorably played Indian Jonson is still working in the industry and playing the character 42 years later.
The 76th annual Cannes Film Festival saw the presentation of the latest installment in the iconic series. The legendary actor attended a promotional news conference including the cast and crew of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.
Ford was accompanied by director James Mangold and actor Mads Mikkelsen on either side.
Ford fielded a question from an anonymous female reporter who opened with the observation, “Look, I think you’re still very hot.” Ford was taken aback by the unexpected compliment. The actor blinked slowly a few times, as if he didn’t believe the compliment. The reporter, however, continued.
“We were stunned to see you take your shirt off in the second scene, and you’ve still got it,” said the actress. “How do you stay fit? “And can you ride a horse?” she inquired.
The actor bantered with the reporter and then thanked the heavens for not aging.
“Look, I’ve been blessed with this body,” he said. “Thanks for noticing.”
The Indiana Jones star has had a busy week. He made a rare red carpet appearance alongside his wife Calista Flockhart at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France, for the international premiere of his film Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.
The couple last walked the red carpet together at the Academy Awards in March 2018.
Of course, the couple made an appearance together when Ford was scheduled to receive an honorary Palme d’Or at the Grand Theatre Lumiere.
The veteran actor received a five-minute standing ovation and left the crowd in delights of laughter after his career highlight reel was played.
“They say before you die, you see your life flash before your eyes,” the actor said“and I just saw my life flash before my eyes.”
